Yep, another age case, another new set of code words. This time out of the UK, where the fired employee was a 57-year old Credit Suisse analyst, who was the “oldest member of his team by a decade when he was chosen for redundancy in 2011.”
He sued the bank before a London Employment Tribunal, won the case, and just settled it.
“His managers discussed ‘knifing Tony’ and said he ‘isn’t going to be around forever,’ according to e-mails cited in the July tribunal ruling.”
He commented: “I’m glad this is over.”
