My partner Rich’s May 30, 2013 post asking “Is there a Sexually Harassing Word As Offensive as the “N Word” has generated a lot of comments.  At least one recent Court weighing into the fray, has held that there is not.   (Although we’d love to think of judges reading our posts, this appears to just be extremely coincidental timing.)

The Court in Mercer v Cooks Co held that one use of the word “bitch” was not sexual harassment.  If there is a sexually-related word that is the equivalent of the “N word,” I guess this is not it.

Interestingly, when I was looking for a photo to put in this post and thought I would try typing that word in as the search term, it was disturbing how many photos of women in business suits came up.  I went in another direction altogether to keep this post itself  from becoming harassing.
